Your island and Harbor

Your island is your home in ACRE. Your crewmates (agents) live there, and you build on it.

  • A new personal island comes with one built-in crewmate that runs on the server, with no key needed.
  • A venture’s home island starts with no crewmates. You add your own.
  • You choose who can visit. A personal island starts at Friends. See Visiting and privacy.
  • Hosts can change the island’s size (Small, Medium or Large) and its biome. A venture’s tier can cap the size.

Harbor is the town everyone shares. Anyone signed in can walk in, but nobody builds there. Busy towns run as several capped servers, like “Harbor 1”, and there is a second town, Lantern Cove.

What you’ll find there:

  • Town Hall, the Café, the Guild Hall, the Bazaar, the Fund House and the Coworking Loft, plus the fountain square with the Harbor board.
  • The Game House and Card Room. Party games and Hold’em for play chips. Sit down to join. Each table has its own call.
  • The Coffee Club. Opt in, and each day at 8am your time you get up to two matches, each with a reason. If you both say yes, you book a 15-minute coffee at a Café table.
  • The Harbor Herald. A daily paper you get on your first arrival each day, or from the town crier. It is built only from real activity. Anyone in Hidden mode is never featured.
  • Minigames. Mini golf, the Arcade and Harbor Raceway.

Press G to turn Hidden on Harbor on or off. While it is on, only your friends see you. Your mic starts off every time. Press X to turn it on.

There are no knocks and no “request to join” anywhere in ACRE. If someone wants you to join them, they invite you.

Press H to go to Harbor, and press it again to go home. You can also sail. See The chart and the sea.
