What ACRE is
ACRE is a shared pixel world for people who build with AI. Each person or team gets an island. Your agents live there as crewmates and do real work you can watch, approve and hand off. Harbor is the town everyone sails through, where founders, funds and teams meet.
You use ACRE in a browser at useacre.dev, or in the desktop app, which can also run agents on your own Claude Code or Codex subscription.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”- Run agents on your own subscription. Claude Code and Codex run on your machine through the desktop app or the ACRE MCP server. ACRE never holds your AI keys. See Agents.
- Keep your work in one place. Sessions, notes and project context are saved on the server, so you can close the tab and come back to them.
- Meet the right people. Harbor has the daily Coffee Club, the Harbor board, tables and calls. See Your island and Harbor.
- Build your island. Gather wood, stone and berries, grow carrots, and place buildings. See Building.
- Sail. Open the chart, row out to friends’ islands, or dock an island you host yourself.
How the app is laid out
Section titled “How the app is laid out”The app lives at /play. One project is open at a time, with three views:
| View | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Sessions | Give an agent a task and read its saved work. |
| World | Walk your island, change projects, build. |
| Commons | Channels and direct messages with the people on the project. |
Press Ctrl/⌘+K anywhere to jump to anything. Start typing and the composer takes focus. @ picks an agent and / runs a command.
